Last Day Of School

Today was the last day of school, although I will admit it came pretty quickly for me! We celebrated with Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancakes this morning. Everyone wanted to look their best, and I couldn't resist the chance to take everyone's snapshot. Here's a quick update on each of them. Good job on all your hard work kids!
Tyler had a fun first year in Show Choir and had a blast performing in the musical Grease. He is looking forward to Show Choir next year. His voice continues to change and mature--next year he will move from tenor to base.

Heather Michelle can't wait to move on to high school next year! She sang the national anthem with her good friend Sarah for their Jr. High commencement and also received a scholastic award for her good grades this year.
Colton and Brock are both moving on to Jr. High next year. They both love b-ball and are working hard on their scouting and school work. They both received superintendent's academic awards and are excited to move on to the big Jr. High world next year.
McKenzie has really excelled in reading this year and won an award for reading over 5,000 minutes! She is also a talented little artist!

Braydon worked really hard at his spelling and reading this year. He did an oral report on African safaris and wrote a book about turtles. He is excited to learn how to swim and ride a bike this summer!

Newest family member. .Meet Moka!

Aww, isn't she precious?

Hi everyone. So, the Schofield-Egan clan has a new addition. Scott brought home a 6 week old chocolate lab yesterday and I must admit that those big brown eyes are even intoxicating to me. She has been fun and is definitely still a baby. She loves lots of attention and to be held and pampered. Scott is looking forward to hunting and fishing trips and lots of long walks.

Cruise March 2008

So, it caught us by surprize, but when an invitation from Mom and Dad came to join them on a cruise at a DEAL, we couldn't pass it up. We had about 2 wks to prepare and pack, and before we knew it we had set said from Long Beach to Catalina Island, then Ensenada, Mexico.

Those cruising were my Mom and Dad, brothers Jeffrey and David, Brock and Colton, Scott and myself. When each of our kids turn 12, they have had the opportunity to take a special trip with either Mom or Dad. Colton and Brock took this trip together, and Brock actually celebrated his 12b-day on board. My Dad celebrated his 60th, and my brother David had his b-day, too. Needless to say, we ate lots of cake. :)

Sadie Hawkins

Hi everyone~

Ok, so it's been a while. :) Forgive my slacking, but I'm ready to post some updates and hopefully will find myself taking the time a little more often. Last weekend, Tyler went to the Sadie Hawkins dance with Sara Mellor. They had a good time, and I think they look pretty cute in their matching shirts. Heather posed w/ Tyler for this practice shot.

It's hard to believe that school will be out soon. The kids are all excited and counting down! Heather is away for 3 days for her outdoor survival class. She will be home this afternoon--and we will have the shower ready and waiting! Updates and pix of the other kids will be coming soon!
